New Orleans - September 2014

In September 2014, we went to New Orleans.  Daddy had a conference so Mommy and Abbygale went to have some fun!  We went to the Children's Museum, Aquarium, Zoo, walked the River walk, went on a boat ride, and went swimming.  We had a great time and the weather was beautiful!  Abbygale had a blast at each and every place.  We also just did a lot of walking around to see the city.  Abbygale loved riding in her stroller.  It was a successful trip and we left with lots of wonderful memories!

Gymnastics at 3

Abbygale has started gymnastics class for 3 and 4 year olds.  She is doing well socializing, learning her rolls, and doing other fun stuff. She always leaves by saying the class is "so much fun."  She looks forward to this weekly outing.  She will be doing a back handspring before long :)

This was before her very first class...she was "super excited!"

Parade with Mawmaw and Pawpaw

Abbygale went with Mawmaw and Pawpaw to the LaGrange parade before going to the goat show.  She had so much fun at the parade picking up candy and waving to everyone.  She has her beauty queen wave down solid!

Abbygale's 3 Year Check-Up

Abby turned three and that means "time for your check-up with Dr. Hughes."  We went on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 10 am and Abbygale did wonderful.  She was so ready for her check-up and was very brave.  They took her weight and height, her blood pressure, and checked her eyes, ears, and throat.  She listened well and did exactly what they asked.  She however didn't speak a word.  Not one word.  The little girl who talks non-stop wouldn't talk to Dr. Hughes even when he showed her a goofy pen and gave her a coin for a treasure.

Miss Abbygale was 37.5 pounds (90th percentile) and was 39.5 inches (95th percentile).  He said to keep her on non-fat milk, make sure she is taking vitamins, and she is current on all of her shots.  No shots until 4, where she will have to get 2 shots.  When he calcuated Abby's BMI she was in the upper normal range.  He said she is perfect!  He estimated she is going to be 5 foot 9 inches when she is fully grown.  By age 11, she should be 5 foot 2 inches (or her Mommy's height).  Pretty funny but I LOVE the fact she is going to be taller than her Mommy.

He didn't want to give her a flu shot and they didn't have mist yet so we have to go back in a few weeks for the flu mist.  Besides that, fingers crossed we dont' have to see Dr. Hughes until Miss Abbygale is 4 years old.
