Abby's 15 Month Doctor Appointment

On, Tuesday November 20, 2012 Abbygale had her 15 month doctor's appointment with Dr. Frank.  Dr. Hughes was out of the office.  Abby is doing very well.  She is in the 75th percentile for both height and weight.  Her height is 31 inches and she weighs 24 pounds 2 ounces.  She didn't like her check-up much even after watch Doc McStuffin.  She didn't want some strange man weighing her or poking in her ears and mouth or checking her heart beat.  She wasn't very thrilled.  She had to get 4 shots, which was just awful.  She got two in one leg, one in one leg, and one in her arm.  She screamed like crazy, which I don't blame her.  I probably would have done the exact same thing!  But when it was all said and done, Abby did very well for a 15 month old at the doctor's office.

She is still on whole milk but we can slowly start switching her to 2 percent milk.  Dr. Frank said we didn't need to immediately because she is healthy and not overweight and/or too thin.  Abby is just perfect!  He said it is time to child proof the house.  Yes, we have known this for awhile now and it is pretty much done.  We do little by little when she finds something new she shouldn't have.

She will come back in around 18 months for another check-up, but Dr. Frank said between 18 and 19 months is just fine.  I think she will only be getting one shot next time which is joy to the ears.  Maybe Abby can handle one shot better than four.  Four is just crazy to me!

Here is Miss Abby all pretty and perfect ready to go to the doctor's office.

Halloween 2012

For Abbygale's 2nd Halloween we decided to try something new and go to Main Street in Bastrop.  They have a Halloween festival each year where you can go trick-r-treating, play games, jump on bouncy houses, and just have fun!  Abby was a bit overwhelmed with all the people and just starred at everyone.  She didn't speak the entire time we were there.  However, I think she had fun though!  Abby got candy, a coloring book, crayons, and a little stuffed animal dog.  She was happy!

We decorated our house with pumpkins this year so Abby has known what a pumpkin was for about a month now.  When we are somewhere and they have pumpkins she points them out.  Therefore, we though having Abby be a pumpkin this year for Halloween was a great idea.  She was such a cute little pumpkin too!

We had to stop and take the pumpkin off!

14 Months Old!

Abby is now 14 months old and just so full of energy. She is practically running (fast walking) and has become a little tornado. She is into everything and goes, goes, goes. She isn’t a fan of napping or sleeping and wants to be playing or wants to be outside.

Abby really only eats chips, french fries, and ice cream good. Every other food she just picks at. She is such a healthy eater wouldn’t you say?!?

Abby has about 11 teeth and is now in 18 month clothing. She wears a size 4 shoe and a size 4 diaper.

Abby is learning to play sports. She will make a basket and throws her hands up when we say “score.” She also likes baseball and will knock the ball off the t-ball when you say “batter, batter, batter, swing!”

She still LOVES Tec the tractor.

Abby still does not sleep through the night. No such luck in the sleeping department. Some nights are better than others.

Abbygale is such a smart little girl. I’m amazed at how I can ask her a question and she responds by bringing me the right thing or pointing to the correct answer. She is a little mocking bird still and tries to repeat just about everything you say.

Each month that goes by Miss Abby is growing, getting smarter, and just becoming a big girl. There is really no more baby anymore. She is the center of our lives and I really cannot remember my life without my Abby. She brings such joy to my life and her Daddy and I love her to the moon and back and more. XOXO!
