What is Abby up to at 10 months old?
• She talks and talks and talks. She says words you can’t necessarily understand as well as lots of words you do. She tries to repeat just about everything you say. Some of her favorites are ‘bird,’ ‘Tec (for Tec the Tractor),’ ‘hi,’ 'hot,' ‘ball,’ ‘button,’ and ‘ba-ba.’
• Her hair is getting longer, blonder, and curlier. She has worn one top ponytail so far!
• She laughs when you tell her ‘no.’ Her favorite is you shaking your finger and saying ‘no, no, no, no.’ This is just hilarious to her!
• She is still in a size 3 diaper, size 3 shoes, and 12 month clothing. She still wears some 9 month clothes too.
• She still loves her bath time and also enjoys swimming. She isn’t scared to put her face in the water. She tries to drink all water!
• She is still a great rider since we are almost always in the car.
• She loves to play. She bangs toys, loves on her baby, loves balls, and loves pretty much all of her toys. She also enjoys cups and plastic tubaware.
• She drinks bottles throughout the day (and night unfortunately). She drinks mostly 6 ounce bottles throughout the day and usually an 8 ounce bottle right before bed and a 4 ounce bottle on our drive in to Aunt Melissa’s. She still drinks about 8 bottles a day.
• Abby DOES NOT SLEEP! She is killing us with her lack of sleeping habits at night. She is back to waking up about 4 times a night. She wakes up crying and wanting a bottle. She falls back asleep drinking milk. When she is sleeping, she is tossing and turning and kicking us all night long so we are up even when she is sleeping. We are going to have to get her to her crib somehow. Magical fairy—please help us with this!?!
• Abby loves drinking out of cups. Not her sippy cups but Mommy and Daddy’s cup. She does well too!
• Abby mostly just drinks water besides milk. She still doesn’t really like juice very much- she prefers water and I’m okay with this.
• Abby has become a better eater. She normally eats pretty well these days.
• Abby has two full teeth on the bottom and two full teeth on the top. However, she has coming in two more teeth on top and bottom, so pretty much has 8 teeth now!
• Abby knows where her ears are.
• Abby is a little bit stingy with her kisses and sugars. Sometimes when you ask she’ll give you sweet kisses but other times she looks at you like you are crazy. She kisses (gives sugar), blows kisses, and loves (hugs). She’s a doll!
• Abby wakes up in the morning or from a nap and will say ‘hi’ and wave to you. It will melt your heart!
• At night when we are laying down trying to go to bed, Abby turns and moves. If you make eye contact with her she will smile a HUGE smile and start laughing. Of course, Mommy starts smiling and laughing to. I love those moments!
• Abby is still ‘oh so shy.’ She will cry if someone even talks to her and she didn’t want them to. I hope she starts to outgrow this. Poor thing, I want her to be outgoing. It literally might take days before she opens up to you. If she doesn’t see you very often she gets shy towards you again.
• If Abby hears the word, “Good job,” she will start to clap. “Good job” and “yay” go hand and hand in our house!
• Abby smiles and laughs at herself a lot. I love that she is such a happy girl! She is just too darn cute!
• Abby is a fast crawler these days!
• Abbygale can and does pull up on things. She thinks she is so big because she lets go too and tries to balance. I’ll bet she is walking before she turns one!
• Abby is ticklish in her rib cage, under her arms, and on her thighs. I love making my girl laugh!
• Abby loves to be outside. She likes her swing some, but also likes toys she can sit on now. She really just likes to be held outside or ride on the 4-wheeler.
• Abby’s rhythm is pretty much like her Daddy so far. Not too much. She likes music and will move her back some but mostly takes one arm and swings it around. That’s her dancing.
• When Abby’s TV is on and she recognizes it she gets so excited! She points and laughs.
• When Abby is excited it sounds like she is gasping for air. However, that is her ‘I’m just so excited and can’t hide it’ sound. It’s adorable!
• When I’m doing laundry, Abbygale loves to be carried in the big blue tub. Then when the clothes are out she loves to sit and stand in it. It’s her toy she thinks!
• Abby’s eyes I think have turned from bluish green to a pretty green color. I love when those beautiful, big eyes look at me.
• Abby sometimes bites these days. I think it is because she is teething but from time to time she will still bite you….beware!
• Abby still loves books! She likes reading about the sounds of farm animals and puppet books the best right now!
• Abby still likes her Jumperoo some (not a whole lot) and still likes her piano player but she crawls and stands in it now (we took the seat off).
• Abby loves stuffed animals (and Mommy is not very fond of a lot of stuffed animals). She plays with at least one every day.
• Abby stood up for a few seconds by herself at Aunt Melissa’s on Thursday, June 21st. Mommy hasn’t seen it yet but man she is getting too big for her pants!
• Abby is a mover these days! She rarely sits still. She’s on the go exploring everything!
Abby is now pretty much a little girl and not a baby. She has a great personality and is so much fun! Seeing her smile and laugh really makes my day. Those are the best times ever! I know in the next month she is going to change even more and that’s just crazy to me. In 10 short months she has changed drastically. She was perfect when she was born and she is still perfect now. Each day I think our family bond grows stronger and stronger, which I love. I’m so in love with my family and cherish all the memories we get to create. Abby has my heart no doubt. When she is happy I am beaming; when she is upset my heart is breaking. I love her to pieces! Abbygale – We love you to the moon and back and more! XOXO!
