Christmas Time Is Here

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!  We put up our tree and decorations the weekend before Thanksgiving this year and had a great time.  Mawmaw even helped!  We made mini gingerbread houses with Brittany, Bridget, and Brooke.  Abbygale loves hanging out with her cousins and one (of many) pros to moving to Red Rock is being closer to them and getting to build a cousin relationship with them.  Abbygale talks about her cousins every single day and loves them so much!

Thanksgiving 2014

Thanksgiving 2014 was good and relaxing but not as traditional as prior years.  I like tradition and really want Abbygale to have lots of traditions as well.  The day before Thanksgiving we went to Danny& Melissa's for a traditional Thanksgiving feast with the Ingram's.  It was a lot of fun and great visiting with everyone who we do not get to see often enough.  Thanksgiving we just spent as a family (the three of us) around the house having quality time.  The day after Thanksgiving we had dinner with Mawmaw and Pawpaw and Preston.  The cousins had so much fun and love each other so much!  It is so cute!  Saturday afternoon, Abbygale and I went to Granbette's for the night to visit.  We got to visit with David, Suzanne, and Ashley and saw Cindy for a few minutes too.  It was great visiting and seeing Granbette and everyone.  Abbygale was not ready to leave Granbette's house.  She (as well as I) love Granbette so much!

Abbygale's First Sleep Over - Age 3

Abbygale had her very first sleepover at 3 years old.  She went to Mawmaw and Pawpaw's house and even had another special guest, Preston.  She was ready.  She told me what to pack: Teddy, night gown, milk, etc.  I kept asking her if she was "sure" she wanted to stay and she kept insisting "yes."  Her Daddy had a hard time too.  We got home and the phone rang a little while later and Bryan jumped up to put his jeans back on before he even knew who it was.  He was ready to go get her.  She said the bed was too hard and bumpy she wanted to go home.  About two minutes later she calls back and said she wants to stay.  She was laying on Teddy, but now the bed is fine.  At 6:00 the next morning, Bryan was waking me up to go get Abby.  We got there about 8 and she was NOT ready to come home.  She was having a blast and wanted to stay longer!  She is ready for the next sleepover with Mawmaw and Pawpaw soon.

She even got a big surprise: a new bike for staying the night with Pawpaw!

New Orleans Round Two - November 2014

We went back to New Orleans and had another round of fun!  Bryan had to go back for work so Abbygale and I decided to jump in the car and go again.  We went to the beautiful City Park, Storyland, IMAX theater, and the Bug and Butterfly Museum.  Abbygale and I also did lots of walking on the Riverwalk and made lots of wishes in the fountains and admired the beautiful Christmas decorations and big tree.  We also played make-up dress up in the hotel room and just had a fun week having quality family time.

Abby was disappointed there was no pool at this hotel (even though it would have been too cold to swim).  However, she is already ready to go back to New Orleans asking each day when we are going back.  My girl loves to travel, loves hotels, and loves elevators and escalators.  She is her Mommy's daughter!

Halloween 2014

Halloween 2014 was so much fun!  Abbygale was so excited for Halloween and into all the dress up. However, she was scared of monsters, etc.  She didn't want to be around anything scary - just the princesses and all things girly.

We decorated a pumpkin and went trick-r-treating in Bastrop.  We went downtown and played games and then went door to door trick-r-treating with Miss Georgia, one of Abbygale's good friends.  They had so much fun.  We ended the night letting the girl's play and giggle.

The next day she was ready for Halloween again  :)

Paint Project at 3

We decided to try a new paint project indoors since it was a wet day.  Abbygale LOVES to paint and do all things arts-n-crafts.  She had a good time but wanted to REALLY paint after this project  :)
