Abbygale is now 16 months old and just growing up every second. She is crazy cute, crazy funny, and unbelievably spoiled. She is the absolute cutest girl I have ever seen. Each month is passing so fast and she is growing up constantly, but the changes each month are not nearly as distinctive as in her first year.
*Abby is in 18 month clothing, Size 5 shoe, and Size 4 diaper.
*Abby still loves baths and water. She doesn’t fuss when water gets in her face either. Abby takes showers now too and does well. She prefers baths but doesn’t mind a shower either. She is such a little water child.
*Abby is not a very good eater. Some days she will eat well and other days not a thing. She likes potatoes, chips, cookies, tortillas, eggs, and ice cream the best! She RARELY eats any kind of meat.
*Abby loves television still and her favorite show right now is Peppa the Pig. She says, “Peppa. More.” She also watches Chugginton, Tec the Tractor, and Doc McStuffin.
*Abby loves to play at her kitchen. I think this is one of her favorite toys currently. She also likes the toy she got for Christmas last year a bunch. It is the Ferris Wheel & slide for Wobbles.
*Abby wears bows in her hair pretty good these days. She isn’t fussing and ripping them out like a few months ago.
*Abby still thinks her room is our room and sleeps in bed with us. Very bad habit we know but cuddling with Abbygale is the absolute best!
*Abby loves playing dress up and pretend make-up. She loves wearing jewelry – necklaces, bracelets, rings, etc. She also likes to get a make-up brush and rub it on her face like she is putting on make-up like her Mommy.
*Abby LOVES the outside. She prefers to be outside and is 100 percent happy outside. Abby likes to pick up rocks now and play a little bit in the sand/dirt. However, her hands can’t get too dirty. She is still a pretty dainty girl!
*Abby is a Daddy’s girl a lot these days. She wants her Daddy more and more. {sniff, sniff}
*Abby does not sit still. She is so full of energy and moves constantly. At this age you really cannot take a good picture of her very easily.
*Abby still DOES NOT sleep through the night. Heck, she doesn’t sleep much at all. She goes to bed anywhere from 9:00-10:30 and wakes up several times for ‘milk.’ She drinks about 3 cups of milk at night still. Abby will take a nap during the day for about 1-2 hours. However, some days she doesn’t nap at all. Abby really isn’t on any set schedule – she is on the “Abby” schedule, which changes on a daily basis.
*Abby gives kisses and hugs. When she is kissing and hugging a stuffed animal or baby it is just perfect. She even says “aaaaawwwwweeeee.” When you ask her for a kiss/sugar, she leans in and gives you her forehead. Little stinker.
*When Abby has a boo-boo she expects a kiss to make it all better. She says “boo-boo” in such a sad little voice with such a sad little face.
*When you try and get up and she doesn’t want you to or if she wants you to sit and play with her she will say “sit, sit.”
Each month I really feel it can’t get any better, but after each month it just gets better. Abby is so much fun and just a pure joy. Even her dramatic days and moody days are so much fun. She is a mess and a little stinker. There is no denying that. However, she is just perfect. I love her personality and her ways. She is just beautiful inside and out. She gives kisses and hugs that will melt your heart. She holds your hand and takes you places. She loves to hold hands. She is such a good communicator through her sweet little voice and by her expressions and movements. You definitely understand exactly what she wants and she expects you to listen! Abbygale continuously says “Dadda,” “Momma,” and “Abby.” She points to each of us and herself. I think she is so happy when we are all together. Our family isn’t perfect but we wouldn’t change it for the world. Each day we are building memories with love and strong hearts. We love Abbygale more than any words can ever express and I pray for her to have a wonderful life full of opportunities, laughter, and success. I am so truly blessed to be Abby’s mom and am so thankful for her. She means the world to me. Abby – we love you to the moon and back and more!!! XOXO!
